The fully furnished and well equipped cabin sits on a 180' lake front with large dock and swim to raft. It is swim and fish in front. There is a large 24'x15' porch facing lake. The wrap around front deck has a grill, the lawn a fire pit and Adirondack chairs.
Cabin sits on east side of lake on a slight knoll providing sweeping views of the lake as well as a full view of long, late sunsets. The dock has Adirondack chairs to further enjoy lake breezes and sunsets. Lake Hortonia contains Small and Large Mouth Bass, Pickerel, and Northern Pike.

Remodeled in 2010. Fully furnished modern kitchen with refrigerator/freezer, microwave, stove/oven, toaster, coffee maker. The main room contains a table for 6 in kitchen area with living area with couch and chairs at other end. French doors open onto the porch which has a large table (6) for dining and chairs to to further enjoy peace of the lake.

Well water. We cook with well water and buy drinking water. Kitchen spices on a take it leave it basis..

Cabin has two bedrooms and a loft. Queen bed in Master bedroom, second bedroom has two singles. Loft has 3/4 bed. Sleeping couch in living room. Full bath with shower. Ceiling fans in master bedroom and main room. Floor fans and portable heaters for each room.

WIFI. No TV. Plenty of board games, puzzles, and books. In the middle of a good book and need to go home? Take it with you.

Kayaks, paddle boards, and rowboat. Cabin comes equipped with basic life jackets. 5 Horse power motor is available for rent ($200) a week.

Fishing license for over 16 yrs necessary if fishing. Can apply online or at Tom's Bait shop.

There is a lakeside country store at the south side of this 3 mile long lake. ATM, local paper, ice cream, ice, and some food items, boat and car gas can be bought there. Boat launching is also done at this site.

Brandon, 12 miles away, and Middlebury, 18 miles away are the closest places to food shop and other amenities.

Rutland, 25 miles away, has a recreation center on Killington Mountain.

Quaint Vermont towns in the vicinity offer weekly local town music in their village squares during July and August. Notes to help locate berry picking, hiking trails, and farmer markets in the cottage-updated seasonally.
