  • Location Isle La Motte, VT
  • ID: 980

Description

Overlooking the Adirondack mountains and Lake Champlain, on a 9 mile island connected by land bridge to Alburg, V.T.
Located on historic Isle La Motte, home of the oldest coral reef in the world, just down the street. Our property has 12 acres of land, 2 acres are yard, and 150 feet of lakefront. Also home to the first establishment of civilization in Vermont starting in 1609 and the first Catholic settlement in Vermont, St. Anne's shrine. This property was part of the historic Apple farms on the island from early 1800's, and there are still a couple very old huge apple trees on our woodland area, and a apple orchard just beyond our back yard.
Great for extended family and friends coming on vacation as a group. With 7 bedrooms it sleeps 14 with ease.

For wintertime, there is great ice fishing, a natural woodland ice rink on-site, snow shoeing on trails, snowmobile trails nearby,drive-in and drive-out lane/lot for vehicles with trailers (no backing-up), 4 restaurants within 20 minutes, Beartown skiing/tubing (20 minutes away), Hardack Hill skiing/ tubing (35 minutes), and our frozen lake and roads in town are considered a legal road for registered UTVs'/ATV's, but only lake and trails for snow machines. (35 mph limit on roads)

Some notable features included in the summertime property rental are: two decks and one farmers porch, 2- 12' Trophy 144 Kayaks, 5 person pedal boat, 14' row boat (with optional 4hp motor), 14' canoe, volleyball set, 5 bicycles, life vests, bocce ball, softball set, horse shoe game, 30 foot dock, optional jetskis and sailboat charter/rental available!
